I don't know whether to explain or not. I saw it and thought "this would be fun to post." So I am. (And yes, it is a real sword)

What an awesome shot!

you know, the first thing I thought of when I saw it was "Gunnar's daughter" except you don't look at all scandinavian and therefore it doesn't work.

And thus in golden sun she stood
A dark-eyed lass with hand on blade
Her grip firm as the rock beneath,
Her arm the whip of willows' braid

Why is it man in all his pride
Such great temptation finds
In woman in whose beauty lies
Great danger intertwined?

And so, swordmaiden I bow to thee
My own blade in salute
I wonder if, when our blades cross,
Your skills will mine confute.

And if 'twasn't made obvious by poetic musings, absolutely splendid picture my dear.
